Compatible source requirements
The source provider must expose a resolvable IMAP hostname, normally with implicit TLS on port 993, and valid mailbox or app-password credentials. Zoho Mail, Rediffmail and other providers can use this route only when their account and plan permit standard IMAP access.
Security and certificate validation
ElephantsData validates the server connection before migration. The safer default verifies the provider certificate and hostname. An explicit tenant-admin exception can permit an invalid or expired certificate, but it weakens server identity protection and should be limited to approved legacy systems.
What an IMAP migration does not include
IMAP copies email messages and folders exposed by the source server. It does not migrate calendars, contacts, rules, delegation, applications or a Microsoft Online Archive with native full fidelity. Those workloads require separate supported routes and readiness checks.
