Use cases for tenant consolidation
Tenant-to-tenant projects commonly follow mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, domain changes or organizational consolidation. Define the legal, identity, licensing and workload boundary before copying data.
Map users and validate both tenants
Connect the source and destination independently, select the supported workloads and map each source identity to a prepared target. A successful tenant connection does not replace workload-specific permission and destination checks.
Pilot before production cutover
Use representative users to validate throughput, quotas, item behavior and reporting. Expand only after reviewing exceptions and confirming the operational cutover plan.
